This movie is a fantasy and if you knew the real story, you’d be shocked because many died to keep the secret of Wing Chun as that, a secret. I like the story though it’s more of fantasy. The action is realistic and great display of martial arts’ discipline. 4/5 for this movie.

To teach Wing Chun was to also ask for death. Many who were found out by the Military and Dynasty of Machu would find the person who taught it. Then they’d kill this master and 9 generations down. Meaning children, family, wife, the lot. It is more comforting to believe in fantasy without studying the historical facts. There is no historical facts, documents, about that woman. If you look at IP man too, there is slightly some hidden message about the political climate and fear from the dynasty and system.
